I crave brevity. The new metric is effective decisions per token. Comms and information flow has been the ultimate vexing institutional problem. It's much worse now. Old proxies for what made a good employee no longer hold. It's a cultural revolution.
Operations modeling forces you to make the same choice again and again: what do you aggregate and abstract, and what should you separate and treat differently. Telemetry can't help you find the answer. RPMs, g-forces, control inputs tell you what happened, but very little about why. The why tells you whether your operations is part of the normal pool, or whether it's something abnormal, isolated, and unique that needs to be modeled differently. It's not in the SQL database. You have to go to the ground for it.
